Level Crossing

This project for this weekend has been building a level crossing

Orpington Canal?

Finally, the start of the canal section

Very much a work in progress; lots more to do, but eventually the left end will lead to a canal tunnel and the right end to a basin/wharf.

Country Inn

Latest model for the Railway is a country inn:

This is located near the “halt” (sorry about the rather broken level crossing):

Waiting Shelters for the Halt

The halt now has waiting shelters. This is the first one:

and with a bit of modification, this is the second:

More Stock

Country Station Building

The Country Station now has a ticket office and waiting room:

Unfortunately, not much of this is actually visible without a mirror (or camera)…

Viaduct

After much grief, the railway now has a viaduct.
Yes, I know it doesn’t currently go anywhere, but it will eventually carry the narrow gauge railway across the main tracks and through the wall.

Unfortunately, the tracks around the curve had to be moved so that the longer carriages could pass under the viaduct without hitting anything. I’m just glad that this was done before more scenery was installed.

New Tunnel Entrances

I’ve finally improved the two tunnel entrances. Still not perfect, but better than before. With a bit of weathering (and some rocks/grass), I think they’ll be OK.
