More Layout Lighting

You can see the newest strip sticking out from the wall on two chrome rods (which carry the 12V to the LED strip).

This is something I should have done years ago, but have only recently found the right sort of LED strips (5050) with the right colour (Day White).

The LED strips are recessed in the wood above the layout.

The next stage is to do something similar for the rest of the layout.

Platform Signals

The station platforms now have signals. These are also automatically controlled by the position of the trains and the settings of the various points.

Shunt Signal

Model railway purists will hate it as it’s not technically the correct sort of signal, but the first shunting signal has now been fitted. The ‘controls’ the exit from the Country End goods sidings onto the main track.
